Zoella Beauty Range

Hi dream clouders , hope you had a fab xmas and you have a brilliant new year !
Today I'm going to share with  you one of my absolute fave things at the moment which is the Zoella book , bath and beauty range.I got these things for xmas and adore them !

I love the makup bags and use the guinea pig one as my school pencil case. The perfume has a lovely refreshing scent , the same as the bath range which is the bubble bath and fizz bar.The fizz bar lasts a long time as it can be broken up into your chosen amount and is nice mixed with the creamy bubble bath.I love to apply the beautifully smelling body lotion afterwards then chill out with the amazing book , Girl Online.I finished Zoe's book , Girl Online today , only purchasing it 3 days ago , that's how much I enjoyed it.

Make-up for beginners

Starting out in the world of make-up can be quite scary , but once you find out what works for your skin tone, and practice , things will soon become easy.

Find a powder foundation that suits your skin tone and isn't to heavy. I highly recommend Rimmel London stay matte powder.
Find a subtle pink blusher that , again , isn't to heavy.
Also , find a gentle , light coloured eye shadow.

These are the main items I used when I started using make- up

School Evening Routine

This is what I do once coming back from school on a weekday.

I get home and put my bag on the sofa.
I then head to my bedroom and hang my uniform up , but some comfy clothes on , put my hair in a messy bun and go back downstairs.
I then sit on the sofa and take out my bag my books , fill out my planner and do any other bits and bobs like easy homework from the day.
Its soon time for tea !
After tea I tidy my room , pack my bag for the next day and have a shower.

I then tidy the bathroom , towel dry my hair and plait it.
I make some form of hot drink , so warm milk , hot chocolate and so on and take it to bed.
I then watch some TV in bed and eventually fall to sleep.

First on the list is a simple outfit with a statement scarf.

And there has to be the Christmas jumper outfit !
There also must be an outfit for all the Christmas and new years parties !

My Morning Routine :)

So unless I'm having a revision weekend , my weekends don't have a structure , so I'm going to be blogging my school morning routine.

I set my alarm for 6:30 AM
I get out of bed at about 6:35 AM (It takes me a while to wake up ! )
I go downstairs and get my breakfast , usually a bowl of some form of cereal.
After that , I go back upstairs and eat my breakfast in my room , and flick through Instagram.
I then get my towel ,  skin care routine products and other morning things like my toothbrush and get in the shower.(I have a blog post just about my skin care routine.)
After I get out the shower I towel dry my hair , clean the bathroom and get changed into my uniform.
If my hair isn't dry enough to put in a plait or messy bun yet , I will quickly blow dry it or if it is mostly dry , I will leave it loose or put it in a messy bun.I try not to do any fancy styles for school because they just fall out as I'm running so I'm not late !
I then do my makeup , which just for school is usually a really thin layer of moisturiser by simple , then Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder Foundation. The really thin layer of moisturiser helps the powder not make your face look all dry and cracked when it goes over blemishes.I then usually apply a pink shade of lip gloss and a thin layer of mascara.

I then get my school bag , put my coat and shoes on and leave :)

So that's my school morning routine ! Hope you enjoy reading and if this gets lots of views I will do more routines like night time or night before going on holiday.  xxxx :)

Merry Christmas xxxx :)

I'm going to start including the picture above , my blog logo , at the bottom of each post x

Winter Makeup :)

Hiiii :) This blog post is going to be about some current winter makeup looks I'm loving.

This first is dark blue and black eye shadow around the corners of your eyes that are nearest the side of the face , not the corners near the nose.It goes well with nude/pink lipstick or red gloss.

The second is a collation of dark and light brown/cream shades that build up in the corner facing out. This looks good with a nude lipstick with a pink gloss over the top , or a red lipstick.

I will see how many views this gets and i might do more eye makep looks based on that :)

Revision help :)

So this is not really fashion or beauty , more lifestyle. At the moment I have loads of exams at school , 4 exams tomorrow. I thought whilst I'm on my study break I would share with you some revision tips.

For ages I used to revise in the main room of our house when my family were talking and the TV and radio were playing because I thought I could revise with noise but really my brain was just trying to distract itself.I also got into the bad habit of sitting in my PJs all day doing my revision. Now , I sit in my bedroom to revise and I have a wash but i learn to revise with a compromise.

I don't set my alarm at 6:30 and have a really quick wash and revise until the end of the day.On a weekend i wake up naturally then go downstairs and relax/have breakfast.I then go for a shower and have a nice relaxing wash.I then chill for a bit/go on social media/blog. Usually my aim is to start revising by 1 o'clock at the latest. When starting my revision , I don't lock myself away with no noise in exam conditions.I make my bed and sit cross legged on it so it is a bit more comfortable but I don't lie down because that will make me tired.I often light a candle and if i am doing something that uses a little less brain power like just copying notes onto flash cards , I put youtube on low volume in the background.

I use a thick , A4 notebook with a dotted line so it can be torn out perfectly to make all my notes.I use a hard back book so I don't need to sit at a desk.
I put these notes into a lever arch folder , each page in a plastic wallet.
To make my notes , I use the text book for that subject and find the chapter the exam is on.
I read through it then put all the information into my own words.
I then go through what i have written , and highlight things like key words and phrases.I use different colours for each thing , so in literature , I might highlight a verb in blue and a noun in yellow.
Try and find trust-worthy sources that work for you.My weaker subject is maths , and I found a website https://www.mathsisfun.com/ that explained things well and put them into real life situations, or , as they call them , 'common sense examples'.Libraries are also helpful.

I also like to do my notes in fun colours and present the well.I use STABILO fine liners.

Skin care routine :)

It is easy to fall into the habit of not washing your face well and not following a routine , but it is important having a regular plan to keep skin looking clean and fresh.Find out your skin type and look for products specifically for that.Don't give up after 1 day , the products will need time to work.
Clean and clear , a leading skin care brand , has a website with a 'find your skin type' quiz.Once this is complete , it suggests products based on what you answered to the questions.
The link to this website is http://www.cleanandclear.co.uk/skin-advisor
My skin routine is :
I wash my face with warm water to open pores , then I apply Clean and Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion.
I then apply T Zone Spot Zapping Gel. I put a small amount on my finger and spread it across my for-head, chin and either side of my nose.
I then use cool water to close my pores.

At night time before I go to sleep , I put Sudocrem on my blemish prone areas.

That is my skin care routine but everyone is different so see what works for you :)

CHRISTMAS IS COMING !!!!!

I'm so excited for Christmas and really feel festive after getting my Christmas tree and putting up all the decorations.I thought I would share with you a few really cool presents I have seen on Instagram recently.
This is a fish tank Iphone case. They come in a variety of different water coloursand it's a fun interaction to tip it upside down and see the fish 'swim' in the water. It is also clear so if you had a 5C , you would be able to see its colour.I really like this case and if you type Iphone fish tank case into Google , a range of different colour options and prices come up.

This is the Lokai bracelet , a beautiful item. The bracelet is made up of clear beads , 1 white bead and 1 black bead. Their website explains how the white bead is injected with water from Mount Everest and the black bead is injected with mud from the Dead Sea.It represents the balance of highs and lows in life.Type Lokai bracelet into Google to see the Lokai website , read further into the story , see video clips of the team's expedition to collect the water from Mount Everest and the mud from the Dead Sea , and to purchase one for yourself.

Merry Christmas xxxx :)

December Faves Part 1 !

So December isn't actually over yet , so really I shouldn't be doing my favorites yet , but there are LOADS of things I have purchased or seen on the internet recently that I really like , so I thought I would do a favorites post now and then do another one after Christmas that can include some things I get as gifts as-well.

So first is actually a hairstyle that i have been doing a lot at the moment. Its the messy bun.
This is Zoella's messy bun and this is exactly the way I choose to do mine , high up on the head , a few messy strands of hair.It does take a couple of attempts to see which way works for your hair but I totally love being able to come home and just put my hair in a messy bun , or if I am going out and my outfit doesn't suit loose hair , I can put it in a messy bun. This is supposed to work better on not washed hair , but I can do it with clean hair by not fully
de-tangling it and using some dry shampoo for texture. Zoella has a tutorial for messy buns on her you-tube channel , I will link it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8dI6PSpOXE

The second thing on my list is actually a shop. Its Lush.
I'm lucky enough to have a lush shop in a shopping centre I visit often and I love there products. The picture above is of there bath bombs. They are super cool and turn your bath water bright purple with sparkles , or orange with glitter , the list goes on , and they do have white ones or other ones that just make bubbles. They all have properties that are great for skin.I particularily like the blackberry bomb bathbomb that turns the bath water bright purple and has a hidded message inside. The lush website says 'As soon as you drop this into your bath, tension is banished as the bergamot and frankincense oils are released. Bergamot is used in aromatherapy for anxiety, depression and nervous tension, and is both relaxing and uplifting as well as antibacterial. You’ll soon feel calmed as frankincense oil helps slow down breathing and induces a feeling of wellbeing.' I included a picture of the blackberry bomb below.
Another lush product I'm totally in love with is the Karma perfume. It has a really warm , comforting scent. You can also still smell it the day after application because it is pure perfume. The lush website said 'Our signature scent, combining intoxicating layers of orange, spices and patchouli. Recalling London in the 1960s, clouds of patchouli mingle with uplifting sweet orange and cleansing pine. A unique and truly Lush perfume for free spirits. Layer with Karma soap and bubble bar, Karma Komba and Karma Kream  for a truly immersive dose of good karma.  Notes: orange, patchouli, pine, lavandin, lemongrass, elemi, cassie.' I have included a picture of Karma perfume below.

The last thing I want to mention from Lush is the Mango bath melt.I find the simplistic look of it nice and I was drawn to the display in the shop from which I purchased it.It is similar to a bath bomb , but gradually melts , instead of fizzing. The lush website says 'A gorgeous way to wake up and replenish the skin: the bright citrus fragrance of lemongrass, lime and lemon oils lifts the mood, while its mix of cocoa, avocado and mango butters are a rich treat for the skin. You’ve Been Mangoed may be small, but it packs a powerful hydrating punch. Avocado butter helps to rehydrate the skin and works in tandem with the mango and cocoa butters to soften and moisturise.'  I have included a picture of the bath melt below.

The final thing on my list is something quite festive from Yankee Candle. Its an owl tea-light burner. It is a lovely piece to add to a christmassy room and comes with 4 , sparkling snow scented , tea lights. It gives off a welcoming , warm glow and looks lovely. I have included a picture below.

So that's it for my December favorites part 1.This would have been a huge post if I had done this after Christmas and included presents!I hope you enjoyed reading and maybe got some present ideas for relatives or yourself :)
